Yoder Heritage Day

August 26, 2023
4th Saturday in August every year

Come on down and join the excitement on the fourth Saturday of August for Yoder Heritage Day in the lively town of Yoder, Kansas! Get ready for a day packed with non-stop fun and thrilling events that will keep you entertained from dawn ’til dusk.
And guess what? It’s all absolutely FREE!

Kick off the festivities with a captivating horse-drawn plowing demonstration that will transport you back in time. Then, prepare to be amazed as you witness one of the biggest horse-drawn parades in all of Kansas at 10:30 am. But that’s not all—hold onto your hats because the buggy and pony races are sure to get your heart racing!

Calling all kiddos! Troubles the Clown is here to put a smile on your face and make you laugh until your belly hurts. And hey, little ones, we’ve got plenty of awesome activities just for you! Take part in the kids’ pedal pull, where you can show off your strength, and don’t forget to hop on a pony for an unforgettable ride!

Are you a fan of vintage machinery? Then you won’t want to miss the antique tractor pull, where these old workhorses show off their muscle. And if you’ve got a truck that can handle the challenge, bring it on and compete in the thrilling truck pull!

In the afternoon, prepare to be wowed by a breathtaking draft horse show, and hold onto your hats once again because United Hoofbeats will be strutting their stuff in the arena at 3:15 pm, followed by pony events and a horse fun show. It’s guaranteed to be a hoof-stomping good time!

But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there! We’ve got live music lined up just for you. Rusty Rierson will take the stage at 7 pm, and to end the day with a bang, we’re lighting up the sky with a dazzling fireworks display at dusk.

So mark your calendars and gather your friends and family for Yoder Heritage Day—it’s going to be an absolute blast! Get ready to make memories, laugh until your cheeks hurt, and experience the vibrant spirit of our community. We can’t wait to see you there!

Yoder Heritage Vendor

FOOD VENDORS ARE FULL!

Craft vendors are approved by committee only.

Hello Vendors!  We’ve started plans for YODER HERITAGE DAY, 2023!  I, Maegan Hunninghake, will be in charge of the vendors again this year.  This is my ninth year in this position, so I may be a familiar face to you.  If you are interested in being a craft or product vendor during YODER HERITAGE DAY, please complete the online form below, with your payment, no later than August 5th.  Any payments post marked later than August 5th will have an additional fee of 20.00.  Your payment will assure you a spot in Vendor Village, if spaces are still available.  If you have any additional questions, or wish to no longer have mailings or emails, you may e-mail me at yhdvendors@gmail.com or call 620-664-5475 and I will get you taken off the list.  If you are finding this form online, welcome! Just fill it out and submit it for a spot at this year’s upcoming event.

Location of Vendor Village– Vendor Village will follow an alleyway that connects 2 main areas of Yoder. Our committee has used this alleyway the past several years. The alleyway starts next to the Etcetera Shoppe in Yoder. (across from the hardware store)

ALL VENDORS WILL ENTER YODER FROM SWITZER ROAD/MAIN STREET ENTRANCE. THIS IS THE ONLY ACCESS FOR VENDORS. (NO EXCEPTIONS) I should be standing there to speak with you and supply any info.

Non-refundable Fee – $40.00 for a 10X10 ft. space or
$70.00 for a 10X20 ft. space
$110.00 for 10×30 ft. space

You are responsible for bringing your own tent and/or tables.  If you need electricity, there will be an extra $15.00 charge.  Electric service will be provided on a space available basis.  Please bring your own extension cords.  Each vendor will be responsible for reporting their own KANSAS SALES TAX.

Set-up:   Set up will be between 6-8am on Saturday morning. When you arrive, I will show you your booth space.  Parking is limited in the craft area so please be flexible.  During set up, you will need to unload quickly and then proceed to the parking next to the village.  This will allow everyone to get access to their space as soon as possible.  Vendors need to be ready for customers by 8:00am and stay open until 4:00pm, but are welcome and encouraged to stay open later if you wish, as activities will continue until dark.

Filling out your form:  If you have any special requirements for your booth space, please note it on your form and we will try to accommodate.  Please list what you will be selling and if you are promoting a particular product (ie: Avon®, Tupperware®) so that we can try to prevent duplicate vendors or space them accordingly.  Those that return their check for their space first will have first options on selling that product.

Please keep in mind that YODER HERITAGE DAY is a family event. No alcohol, tobacco, illegal, or other inappropriate items will be available for sale.

Remember, forms are due by August 5th or a late fee will be added.
